WHAT IS C PURLIN? WHAT ARE ITS FEATURES?

C PURLIN or Cee purlin is a type of horizontal structure which is used for providing support to the load from the deck of sheathing or roofing. As the name suggests, they have the unique appearance of the alphabet C like structure.

The standard length of these c purlins is about 6 meters. You can also cut it easily with a band saw as well as chop saw by standing up on its edge. They are effectively designed for building shell structures in the form of their floor and wall joists. These purlins are also required in mezzanine flooring for supporting the beams.
